The design is cool, but I really like the lighting and how it almost looks as though aboard a carrier.

Well thanks to everyone's comments. It's odd though because I really never saw that my Raptor was my best design or this image my best render. I always felt they were just "generic" attack craft. There was nothing really original about the concept, but that being said I'm still flattered so thanks!

Your best picture so far. These raptors are terrific ! I can't believe this is Sketchup work! The details and the curves are gorgeous ! :P

Actually, the pads on the bottom of the skids are a special system that when charged with an electrical current they create a "mag-lev" reaction and repel the metal embedded deck of the landing platform lifting the Raptor about an inch into the air. The deck crew need only push the aircraft into the hanger. Wheeled skid dollys are used in the field when necessary.

I've had a couple people ask me about the men in the image. They are not standing in front of the Aircraft. The Raptor is about the size of an AH-64 Apache. The two flight deck crew are standing way in the back of the scene near the edge of the landing platform well behind both Raptors.
